Top ten position 5 DOTA 2 supports at The International 2019

Of DOTA 2 supports, position 5 supports roll around on limited farm, making plays where they can and warding the map. Often a thankless job, these guys perform many vital jobs to allow their team to claim victory. Additionally most position 5 supports are the captains of their team, performing the drafting, strategy and calling the shots in game. 10. Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi

His first International, iNSaNiA, will be leading the Swedish Alliance squad. Coming from HON with some other members of the squad, he will be looking for a good placing at this tournament. Keep an eye out for his Rubick and Crystal Maiden plays if those heroes are drafted.

9. Rasmus “MISERY” Filipsen

A veteran of the DOTA 2 scene, MISERY has returned once again to captain the Chaos squad in TI9. He is actually the first player to play in all positions at Valve events. Known for his Lion plays and Slarder however that is unlikely due to him playing position 5 at the moment. Hopefully MISERY will make a great run this year’s tournament.

8. Alexey “Solo” Berezin

Solo, a veteran of the Russian DOTA 2 scene, has been playing position 5 support for many years. He is currently captaining the Virtus.pro roster and is looking to make a deep run at The International. Despite having issues in previous TIs, the squad will be looking to rectify that this year. Hopefully we will get to see him play on his signature heroes like Bane and Ogre Magi!

7. Kuro “KuroKy” Salehi Takhasomi

Yet another veteran of the DOTA 2 scene captaining a squad at The International. KuroKy and Team Liquid will be looking to claim another aegis for their trophy case. We will have to see if his drafting is up to scratch against the other teams. We may even see some of his signature heroes like Rubick and Visage in some of their strategies.

6. Ding “Dy” Cong

Dy currently plays position 5 support for Vici Gaming, and has been an integral factor in their success this year. Hopefully he will continue with his stellar performance and make some incredible plays in front of his home crowd. I have no doubt he will be itching to get on his signature heroes like Earth Spirit and Clockwerk.

5. Tal “Fly” Aizik

Fly, has a long storied history in HON and DOTA 2, and is now captaining the EG squad. Watch out for his Oracle and Phoenix plays if he decides to draft them for himself. Hopefully Fly and EG can do well this TI and make a deep run in the tournament.

4. Jian Wei “xNova” Yap

xNova is one of the best position 5 supports currently in the game. He also one of the only position 5 players that does not captain his team, he leaves that to fy. Most well known for his incredible plays on heroes like Rubick and Earth Spirit but he can play many heroes. Him and his team will be looking for another shot at the aegis and revenge against OG.

3. Peter “ppd” Dager

Heralded as the best NA captain/drafter to ever touch the game and one of the best overall as well. ppd is back The International 2019 with a new squad, Ninjas in Pyjamas, looking to get a good result and potentially another aegis to add to his trophy case. Most well known for his Bane and Abaddon, most people will be looking forward to his innovative drafting and game strategy.

2. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov

Puppey is one of the oldest and most revered captain in the game. Most known for his drafting prowess which has been dominant throughout many seasons of DOTA. This year he will be putting up another attempt to claim a second aegis with his team, Team Secret. Puppey will be keen to pull out his signature Chen to dominate his opponents at this tournament.

1. Johan “N0tail?” Sundstein

N0tail, one of the most famous HON and DOTA2 players ever. He has played in many roles and is now playing position 5 support for his team OG. He will be looking to twopeat the Aegis of Champions with the rest of his team mates. Hopefully this flower ? will be able to pull out his signature heroes like Chen and Enchantress to pull off some wins for his squad.
