The International 2019 is coming very soon and there are many quality players in the tournament. The middle lane/mid/position 2 role is arguably one of the most important. They often set the pace of the games and make most of the plays through the mid to late game. Today we are going to review who are the top ten mid players attending TI9! 10. Abed Yusop
Team Fnatic’s mid laner is Filipino player. Known mainly for his incredible Meepo play as well as being the first playing to reach 10K MMR in the DOTA 2 ranking system. He will definitely bring out some plays for TI9 and hopefully his Meepo will be given a showing.
9. Max ‘qojqva’ Brocker
qojqva is a German DOTA 2 player currently performing the mid role for Alliance. His name comes from him pressing random keys on the keyboard when he couldn’t think of a name. He is a solid mid player but not as flashy as many other players on this list.
8. Aliwi ‘w33’ Omar
Team Liquid new mid player pickup is ex-pubstar, Romaninan w33 in the place of MATUMBAMAN. Well known for his incredible play on Meepo, Invoker and Windranger (or Windrunner). He appears to have injected a bit of life into a stagnant Team Liquid. He will definitely be part of an exciting tournament.
7. Topias ‘Topson’ Taavitsainen
Topson is the Finnish, ex-pubstar mid player for OG, who he helped make an incredible last TI. Most notably known for his incredible risky and flashy plays. He is one of the most exciting players to watch when he pulls off his magic. Its particularly amazing to see him carve up opponents on Monkey King, Arc Warden and Invoker. Soon we will discover if OG can make another run through TI and claim the two-peat TI title.
6. Lasse ‘MATUMBAMAN’ Urpalainen
MATUMBAMAN is a Finnish mid player currently playing for Chaos after his controversial kick from Team Liquid. After much concerns about his attendance to TI he managed to qualify through the Open Qualifers. Many are awaiting the much hyped grudge match of Chaos vs Team Liquid, much like the EG vs OG match up of yesteryear.
5. Zeng ‘Ori’ Jiaoyang
Ori is the mid player for Chinese powerhouse, Vici Gaming. Vici Gaming are looking strong for this TI in Shanghai, partly because of Ori. He is well known for his strong plays on Templar Assassin and zipping around on Storm Spirit.
4. Lu ‘Somnus/Maybe’ Yao
Somnus is the stalwart mid player for the other Chinese powerhouse PSG.LGD. One of the best mid players of all time, Somnus and PSG.LGD will again be fighting for a chance at the Aegis. Hopefully his strong plays on Storm Spirit and Shadow Fiend can help his team reach that lofty goal.
3.Syed ‘SumaiL’ Hassan
SumaiL, the Pakistani king of the mid lane currently plays for Evil Geniuses. The youngest winner of an International and already one of the best mid players ever. His strong plays on Storm Spirit and Ember Spirit are critical to EG’s game plays. A fun player to watch, so we hope he brings the plays for TI9!
2. Yeik ‘MidOne’ Mai Zheng
MidOne is a Malaysian mid player currently on TeaM Secret. Well known for his strong plays on Ember Spirit and Invoker, MidOne is key player for Team Secret. He will definitely be a major part of how Team Secret perform at The International 2019.
1. Vladimir ‘N[o]one’ Minenko
N[o]one, the Ukrainian mid player for Virtus.pro, is arguably the strongest 1v1 mid player ever. Many a mid player has stated how much they dislike playing against him due to his extreme skills. Fans will be awaiting his Puck and Templar Assassin plays to destroy his opponents. N[o]one is a key player in VP’s lineup and will help determine their fate at The International 2019.
